Paracetamol

 Each tablet contains:

Paracetamol 500 mg

 INDICATIONS:

Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic properties and therefore commonly used for the symptomatic management and pain fever associated with common childhood disorders, tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infections, post immunization reactions and other conditions including prevention of febrile convulsions. Paracetamol is also effective in the short-term management of osteoarthritis of the knee, and is suitable substitute for patients sensitive to aspirin.

PRECAUTION:

Paracetamol should be given with care to patients with impaired kidney or liver function. It should also be given with the care to patients with alcohol dependence.   

DOSAGE AND AMINISTRATION:

The usual adult dose by mouth is 0.5 to 1 g every 4 to 6 hours up to maximum of 4 g daily. Usual dose is children are: under 3 months, 10 mg per kg body weight; 3 months to 1 year 60 to 120 mg; 1 to 5 years, 120 to 250 mg; 6 to 10 years, 250 to 500 mg.

This dosage may be given every 4 to 6 hours when necessary, up to a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours. Or as prescribed by the physician. 

STORAGE CONDITION:

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C
