Absolute Contraindications:
Advanced peripheral arterial occlusive disease, congestive heart failure, septic phlebitis (inflammation of the vein caused by microorganisms), phlegmasia coerulea dolens.
Relative Contraindications:
Oozing dermatoses, intolerance of compression stocking material, sensory loss of the extremity, advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. diabetes mellitus), rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The compression stocking must never be worn over an open wound.
The medical benefits of compression stocking is guaranteed for 6 months if they used correctly.
Correct Care:
Wash by hand at 30℃, using mild laundry detergent. Do not use a drier because of overheating and electrostatic charges. Dry in air place, do not expose to the sunlight. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Do not use any chemicals.
